About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join Medtronic as a Program Manager in our Endoscopy Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Lead cross-functional teams through our Product Development Process to deliver new technologies to our customers, and our Released Product Management process to sustain the technologies currently serving patients.
  • Ensure their program teams are efficient, effective, and well-coordinated.
  • Focused on clear priorities, milestones, and goals.
  • Committed to developing and adhering to schedules.
  • Vigilant in managing budgets, including labor resources, and managing risks.
  • Dedicated to delivering quality commercial releases in compliance with established processes.
  • Leads or leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Develops and monitors schedules, plans, tasks, and priorities, ensuring a streamlined workflow.
  • Drives problem-solving sessions, maintaining a sense of urgency and holding team members accountable to commitments.
  • Anticipates and mitigates risks, balancing time, schedule, cost, and quality, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Manages project financials, including forecasting and tracking of accruals and actuals.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management (Nice to Have)
  • MBA and/or PMP / CSM Certification (Nice to Have)
  • High degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing within a matrixed organization (Nice to Have)
  • Knowledge in product development, project management, and commercialization in the medical device industry (Nice to Have)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; builds trusting relationships with team members and key leadership stakeholders (Nice to Have)
  • Must be able to lead cross-functional discussions; driving towards alignment, decisions, resolutions when necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once while understanding cultural differences between various regions of the world (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with IT, connectivity, and/or interoperability solutions (Nice to Have)
  • Experience working under regulations of the FDA, notified bodies, and other regulatory agencies for successful commercial launches (Nice to Have)
  • Product launch experience working with Global teams (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with SAFe/Agile software development practices (Nice to Have)
