About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design and modification of implant and catheter designs
Develop and execute test strategies based on therapeutic requirements
Conduct root cause analysis and mapping of resolution
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership and regulatory agencies
Communicate with vendors and represent work through internal conferences
Apply mechanical engineering principles to evaluate and analyze mechanical designs
Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors’ degree required. Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Biomedical or related Degree
4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Advanced Degree in Engineering Discipline
Understanding of Reliability Engineering and Statistical Methods
CAD experience especially in SolidWorks
Experience with catheters and stents, especially with Nitinol
Demonstrated aptitude for assessing emerging technologies
Demonstrated business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills
Proven skills in quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making
Experience with conducting strategic brainstorm sessions and ideation activities
Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
