About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design and modification of implant and catheter designs
- Develop and execute test strategies based on therapeutic requirements
- Conduct root cause analysis and mapping of resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership and regulatory agencies
- Communicate with vendors and represent work through internal conferences
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to evaluate and analyze mechanical designs
- Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors’ degree required. Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Biomedical or related Degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in Engineering Discipline
- Understanding of Reliability Engineering and Statistical Methods
- CAD experience especially in SolidWorks
- Experience with catheters and stents, especially with Nitinol
- Demonstrated aptitude for assessing emerging technologies
- Demonstrated business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills
- Proven skills in quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making
- Experience with conducting strategic brainstorm sessions and ideation activities
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
