About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead design and modification of implant and catheter designs
  • Develop and execute test strategies based on therapeutic requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and mapping of resolution
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership and regulatory agencies
  • Communicate with vendors and represent work through internal conferences
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles to evaluate and analyze mechanical designs
  • Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors’ degree required. Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Biomedical or related Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering Discipline
  • Understanding of Reliability Engineering and Statistical Methods
  • CAD experience especially in SolidWorks
  • Experience with catheters and stents, especially with Nitinol
  • Demonstrated aptitude for assessing emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills
  • Proven skills in quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making
  • Experience with conducting strategic brainstorm sessions and ideation activities
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
