About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establishes best practice standards and principles for equipment requirements and maintenance.
- Deploys the Enterprise Maintenance Excellence (MEx) roadmap as part of the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), leveraging Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Provides technical expertise on equipment performance and reliability.
- Establishes programs and solutions to increase equipment uptime and resolve equipment issues impacting the manufacturing process, with a focus on a zero-loss and zero-downtime mindset.
- Provides technical support to manufacturing maintenance equipment teams and process engineering teams.
- Develops and deploys equipment and maintenance excellence initiatives by applying root cause analysis and advanced problem-solving methodologies across the enterprise.
- Defines and develops preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Develops and motivates a highly talented, diverse engineering team responsible for the development and maintenance of the global equipment inventory.
- Partners with internal and external experts to maintain and strengthen engineering and technical expertise.
- Builds and nurtures cross-site and cross-functional relationships within a large, multi-site, matrixed organization.
- Understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and external standards and regulatory guidance.
- Generates innovative and unique solutions to complex engineering and organizational challenges.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
- Bachelor degree preferred in mechanical, electrical, reliability engineering, equipment control or related discipline
- Degree with 7 years’ relevant experience or advanced degree with 5 years relevant experience in equipment or maintenance engineering
- 5-7 years relevant direct equipment or maintenance engineering experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in the application Total Performance Maintenance (TPM)
- CMRP or CRL certification
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
