About the role

  • Remote field-based Territory Manager (Endoscopy) calling on hospitals and healthcare organizations across an assigned geographic territory
  • Serve as a customer-facing product expert educating physicians and nurses on Medtronic GI product portfolio
  • Drive incremental product adoption and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Plan and execute market development and sales-oriented activities to expand utilization of GI products
  • Thoroughly understand product features, benefits and proof sources and communicate them effectively
  • Routinely visit customers within the assigned area and establish strong relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Provide clinical product demonstrations and education in accounts to increase proficiency in the GI product line
  • Demonstrate disease state expertise and articulate relevant clinical and journal literature
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts and extended sales force and share best practices
  • Develop and communicate reimbursement environment for products and update sales action plans and forecasts
  • Launch new devices in the assigned territory and provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate adoption
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities in Salesforce.com, expense reports, sales reports, and complete online trainings
  • Adhere to Medtronic code of conduct and demonstrate fiscal responsibility for travel expenses within budgets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience
  • Valid driver's license (essential)
  • Must reside within the assigned territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Experience with selling to physicians in a procedural setting
  • Medical device/equipment sales experience (nice to have)
  • Capital sales experience (nice to have)
  • GI experience (nice to have)
  • Established business planning and forecasting experience
  • Demonstrated formal sales skills training, preferably from a Fortune 500 company
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Good computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and maintaining administrative responsibilities
  • Degree emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related technical field (nice to have)
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional partners
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Willingness/ability to comply with hospital credentialing requirements
  • Employer participates in the federal E-Verify program
