About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages the achievement of unit and revenue goals for assigned therapy products in an assigned district
- Motivates and inspires a team of Sales Representatives and engages directly with key customers
- Assists the district in achieving overall assigned therapy marketing objectives and interacts with Sr. leadership in sales and marketing
- Responsible for forecasting and regularly reporting on progress on the district toward sales revenue goals
- Develops and implements strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives
- Trains and develops employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals pursuits
- Coordinates sales efforts
- Communicates corporate, divisional, regional and/or district mission, goals and activities
- Directs and motivates personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals
- Provides ongoing feedback/coaching and regularly schedules performance reviews
- Implements corrective actions when necessary
- Assists employees with individual development plans (IDPs)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of medical sales experience; or Advanced Degree and 3 years of medical sales and leadership experience
- Successful medical sales record, preferably with Cardiac Surgery products
- Experience with sales and personnel management functions
- Knowledge of Medtronic Cardiac Surgery assigned product/therapy customer base
- Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas
- U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire
