About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manages the achievement of unit and revenue goals for assigned therapy products in an assigned district
  • Motivates and inspires a team of Sales Representatives and engages directly with key customers
  • Assists the district in achieving overall assigned therapy marketing objectives and interacts with Sr. leadership in sales and marketing
  • Responsible for forecasting and regularly reporting on progress on the district toward sales revenue goals
  • Develops and implements strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives
  • Trains and develops employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals pursuits
  • Coordinates sales efforts
  • Communicates corporate, divisional, regional and/or district mission, goals and activities
  • Directs and motivates personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals
  • Provides ongoing feedback/coaching and regularly schedules performance reviews
  • Implements corrective actions when necessary
  • Assists employees with individual development plans (IDPs)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of medical sales experience; or Advanced Degree and 3 years of medical sales and leadership experience
  • Successful medical sales record, preferably with Cardiac Surgery products
  • Experience with sales and personnel management functions
  • Knowledge of Medtronic Cardiac Surgery assigned product/therapy customer base
  • Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas
  • U.S. work authorization required at the time of hire
