About the role

Lead the design and development of our self-service Internal Development Platform (IDP) built on Port to provide clients self-service capabilities
Work closely with the existing Shared Services Engineering Team during GitLab and JFrog platform redesign to provision and manage the platform using programmatic Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Participate in efforts to design, build, and develop rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions and services and add them to production
Work closely with global security and identity access team to keep interfaces, access, identity, tokens, secrets, and security design specifications up-to-date and secure
Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to develop full observability, monitoring, and programmatic self-healing for the platform
Engage with stakeholders and clients to drive platform value and create positive interactions
Be an integral member of technical staff and help develop, test, deploy, and operate services 24x7x365 globally
Manage and extend platforms and pipelines including Kubernetes, container services, application CI/CD, and global source code/binary repository services
Build and manage programmatic pipelines using Terraform, Golang, CloudFormation, Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, Lambda, Python, and Java scripting

Bachelor’s degree and min 3+ years of experience
A degree in computer science, EE, physics, mathematics, or related field
Experience writing IaC using Terraform, preferably, or OpenTofu, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins
Strong experience with Containerization and Container Orchestration, administration using Docker and Kubernetes both On-prem and Cloud environment
Expected to have experience using either Argo CD and Flux CD as well as Helm
Significant experience working at core levels of cloud computing in AWS or Azure
Have a track record of being willing and able to learn new technologies at a rapid pace
Communication skills to work with client partners being able to articulate the vision of automation, self-service, and programmatic RunOps
Experience in OpenShift container platform
Nice to Have: Gitlabs and Jfrog, terraform cloud migration experience would be a plus
Nice to Have: CI/CD pipelines creation using yaml would be a plus
Nice to Have: Any working experience in monitoring tools like Grafana/Dynatrace dashboards would be a plus
Nice to Have: Good to have experience working with Tanzu on on-prem Kubernetes
