About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, document, and configure system specifications conforming to architecture standards and business requirements
  • Plan system and development deployments
  • Ensure hardware and software compliance and security standards
  • Evaluate hardware/software interfaces, operational requirements, and overall system characteristics
  • Establish and document system designs, parameters, and formats
  • Ensure hardware and software functionality, performance, and compatibility
  • Coordinate or modify system parameters and configurations based on computer capacity and capabilities
  • Identify system functionality or performance deficiencies
  • Execute and test system changes to correct deficiencies and improve data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage
  • Document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations
  • Liaise with technology vendor technologists and other business functions
  • Strategically design technology solutions meeting company and customer/user needs
  • Assess whether standard platform functionality solves business problems or customization is required
  • Gather and prioritize integration requirements
  • Test product quality and ability to perform tasks or solve problems
  • Provide onsite technical support and maintain infrastructure at Mansfield, MA or Newton, MA sites
  • Support collaboration across various environments and coordinate with vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to Travel up to 30%
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Willing to support after-hours, weekends and participate in on-call rotations when critical support is needed
  • Demonstrates a strong customer-support mindset along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven, repeatable troubleshooting routines that balance speed, safety, and documentation
  • Solid grasp of infrastructure dependencies and how systems interconnect
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, wireless infrastructure
  • Experienced in OS installations, basic configurations, and performing remote management tasks
  • Commitment to continuous learning through formal training and self-directed education
  • Adept at developing trusted partnerships with end users, identifying their requirements, and converting them into practical technology solutions
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Hands-on work with knowledge management (creating/updating KBs, playbooks, runbooks)
