About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct interface testing within the system and during commercial support
- Integrate the system into Electrophysiology catheterization laboratory hospital environments
- Participate on cross-functional development teams
- Create integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents
- Develop expertise in applying systems engineering principles
- Identify opportunities to apply systems engineering within assigned work
- Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education with technical questions
- Propose and implement changes to improve systems and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, OR Master's with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR PhD with 3 years of relevant experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment
- Experience in Systems Engineering, including defining systems architecture within medical device product development
- Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices
- Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally
- Must meet physical requirements, including being independently mobile, interacting with a computer, and communicating with peers and co-workers
- Principal-level role; U.S. work authorization sponsorship may be offered in accordance with Medtronic policy
