About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of internal and external meetings, conferences, symposiums, and medical education programs
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on event objectives, attendee experience, program content, logistics, and execution strategies
- Develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets, expense tracking, invoices, cost savings, and vendor payments
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with venues, hotels, suppliers, and event service partners
- Design and manage registration, attendee communications, travel coordination, and onsite participant support
- Coordinate audiovisual production, event technologies, mobile applications, audience engagement tools, and virtual meeting solutions
- Oversee onsite event operations, including venue setup, food and beverage, transportation logistics, and supplier management
- Generate and analyze meeting metrics, attendee data, and post-event reporting
- Support continuous improvement and compliant, high-quality medical education and stakeholder engagement experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of meeting or event planning experience; OR Associate's Degree and 4+ years of meeting or event planning experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of meeting or event planning experience
- Experience managing end-to-end event planning and execution, including registration management, attendee communications, travel coordination, and onsite event delivery
- Experience managing event budgets, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and associated operational processes
- Experience using Cvent or a comparable event management platform
- Experience leading projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- U.S. work authorization must be unrestricted at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
