About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a deep understanding of product costs and key cost drivers
- Gather historical information and summarize data to highlight gross margin trends
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Global Operations and Supply Chain and Medical Surgical Portfolio teams
- Lead Operating Unit presentations on GOSC impact on Gross Margin analysis
- Provide financial performance commentary to various levels of management
- Support AOP and quarterly forecasts
- Ensure forecasts are accurate by Operating Unit and allocations/targets are understood and consistently applied
- Increase visibility to cost drivers within cost pools
- Identify opportunities for cost savings
- Lead cost roll reconciliation for specific Operating Units within the MedSurg Portfolio
- Summarize cost-change impacts and review them with cross-functional teams
- Perform onsite office-role duties requiring independent mobility, computer interaction, and communication with peers and co-workers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven experience leveraging SAP, BPCS, Hyperion Spend, CMR, or similar enterprise systems
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to influence outcomes through data-driven recommendations
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- MBA, CPA, and/or CMA certification preferred
- Working knowledge of Project Accounting and financial controls preferred
- Experience partnering with operations teams within a manufacturing environment preferred
- For U.S. roles below Principal level, unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; this Principal-level role may qualify for U.S. sponsorship
