About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies products to hospitals, physicians, and approved customers within the assigned territory
- Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and purchase influencers
- Demonstrate, provide in-service training for, and sell capital and disposable products
- Execute Sales Action Plans
- Plan and execute sales calls to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors’ offices
- Attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory
- Support and service clinical personnel in surgical environments
- Maintain company property, inventory, and demonstration equipment in good working condition
- Transport inventory and demonstration equipment to customer premises
- Report competitive activity to the Region Manager
- Maintain records and reports in a timely manner
- Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; or Associates Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
- Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application
- Must be independently mobile
- Ability to interact with a computer for extended periods and communicate with peers and co-workers
- Ability to talk, hear, sit, reach, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to carry products and transport demonstration equipment
- Approximately 50% overnight travel required
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
- Foreign baccalaureate degrees must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
