About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell all Medtronic Surgical Technologies products to hospitals, physicians, and other approved customers within the assigned geographical territory
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and key purchase influencers
  • Demonstrate, provide in-service training on, and sell capital and disposable products
  • Execute Sales Action Plans
  • Plan, strategize, and execute sales calls to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors’ offices
  • Attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory
  • Support and service clinical personnel in a surgical environment
  • Maintain company-owned property and inventory in good working condition
  • Report competitive activity to the Region Manager
  • Maintain requested records and reports in a timely manner
  • Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; or
  • Associates Degree and 6+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; or
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
  • Ability to be independently mobile
  • Ability to interact with a computer for extended periods and communicate with peers and co-workers
  • Ability to talk or hear regularly
  • Ability to sit and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to adjust focus

  • Ability to drive throughout the territory
  • Ability to maintain and transport demonstration equipment
