About the role
- Manages accounts receivable (AR) for Ventra Health clients including anesthesia and hospital medicine
- Oversees AR processes, staffing, and month-end close for assigned clients
- Maintains AR performance metrics (days in AR, AR over 120 days, credit balances, collections)
- Standardizes AR processes under the One Ventra Health model
- Partners with shared services and offshore resources to execute billing, payments, and adjustments
- Communicates AR performance and payer issues to Directors, RCM and HR
- Supports a positive workplace culture and talent retention
- Ensures compliance with billing, collections, and refund processing laws
- Keeps client instructions up-to-date and clearly communicated
Requirements
- Expert level medical billing experience, anesthesia preferred
- Proven leadership skills to manage, motivate, and set expectations with team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make decisions in a timely fashion that are sound, accurate and supported by reasoning and inclusion of appropriate people
- Must be able to prioritize and accomplish objectives in a timely fashion
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to train and coach employees
- Excellent time management skills
