About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyzing collections and resolving non-payables
Handling bill inquiries for complex issues
Follow up on claim rejections and denials for reimbursement
Process assigned AR work lists timely
Write appeals to resolve claim denials
Identify and resolve denied, non-paid and billing issues
Recommend accounts for write-off
Report filing rule changes to the manager
Check for missing payments and properly note patient accounts
Review correspondence and research patient accounts
Perform follow-up actions and appeals

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
At least one (1) year in the data entry field
One (1) year in medical billing and claims resolution preferred
AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred
Experience with offshore engagement and collaboration desired
Intermediate level knowledge of medical billing rules
Basic use of a computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner
Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables) and database software skills
