About the role
- Responsible for day to day accounting for the UK & Ireland
- Processing supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations for Ireland & UK
- Expense management and budget control for Ireland & UK
- Managing customer invoicing and aged debts
- Posting journal entries and maintaining accurate GL records
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Managing multiple Bank Reconciliations
- Preparing management reports, cost analysis, variance analysis, and reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts in line with FRS framework
- Maintaining adherence to internal controls and company policies
- Supporting the audit processes and providing required documentation
- Ad hoc accounting duties
Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of FRS standards and UK accounting practices
- Proven experience in AR/AP/GL and financial reporting
- Exposure to payroll processes is highly desirable
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero an advantage)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
