About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, update and maintain documentation of logical and physical networks, recording all changes made in the environment;
- Develop and implement security policies to prevent physical and logical intrusions, and keep antivirus software up to date;
- Design, implement and update backup routines;
- Maintain digital communication services (email, web, FTP, VPN, VoIP, etc.) and telecommunications;
- Implement access policies and content control;
- Create and maintain network user accounts;
- Install, configure and test network and server communications, continuously monitor performance and apply necessary adjustments;
- Keep the Internet/network, email and data communication environment in optimal operational condition;
- Participate in the analysis, planning, deployment and maintenance of software and supporting systems such as operating systems, databases, applications and related components;
- Conduct inventories of IT assets (hardware and software);
- Perform diagnostics of IT infrastructure, providing recommendations and follow-up action plans;
- Install and maintain structured cabling.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or a related field);
- Experience in network, server and switch administration;
- Experience with IT infrastructure projects;
- Experience in telecommunications companies is a plus.
