About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, update and maintain documentation of logical and physical networks, recording all changes made in the environment;
  • Develop and implement security policies to prevent physical and logical intrusions, and keep antivirus software up to date;
  • Design, implement and update backup routines;
  • Maintain digital communication services (email, web, FTP, VPN, VoIP, etc.) and telecommunications;
  • Implement access policies and content control;
  • Create and maintain network user accounts;
  • Install, configure and test network and server communications, continuously monitor performance and apply necessary adjustments;
  • Keep the Internet/network, email and data communication environment in optimal operational condition;
  • Participate in the analysis, planning, deployment and maintenance of software and supporting systems such as operating systems, databases, applications and related components;
  • Conduct inventories of IT assets (hardware and software);
  • Perform diagnostics of IT infrastructure, providing recommendations and follow-up action plans;
  • Install and maintain structured cabling.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or a related field);
  • Experience in network, server and switch administration;
  • Experience with IT infrastructure projects;
  • Experience in telecommunications companies is a plus.
