About the role

  • As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be assigned to projects within the product support, product management and implementations teams as dictated by business need.
  • You will work with colleagues and stakeholders to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures using a range of business analysis techniques.
  • Your input will be utilized in the development and enhancement of client facing products, implementation of new client business, data analysis, and review of existing business and processes.
  • Responsible for assisting in all aspects of integrations, product design and implementations.
  • Review and document assigned tasks, deliver documentation to schedule.
  • Analyze and document data structures.
  • Strong advocate for data governance to ensure data quality, consistency and protection.
  • Pursue in-depth knowledge of systems, processes and reports to ensure full understanding.
  • Prioritize and deliver on multiple in-flight projects simultaneously.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Review and evaluate client preferences and rules, provide recommendations for enhancements to workflow and work processes.
  • Evaluate issues and opportunities identified in assignments, improve performance and processes within the organization’s products.
  • Make recommendations to department manager.
  • Document agreed upon changes for development and delivery.
  • Facilitate meetings and communicate with clients in an effective and professional manner.
  • Perform training via live presentations or screen sharing.
  • Travel required, as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of software product options and configurations, and how they impact client workflow and results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one [1] year experience in an insurance related processing environment
  • Knowledge of SQL or general programming concepts
  • Experience with data warehousing and business analytics fundamentals
  • Background in data transformation and related processes
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document technical requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal/client functional/technical teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions
  • Anticipate internal and external business challenges
  • Strong focus on problem solving
  • Self starter and ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be proactive, take initiative
  • Actively continues self-development process by gaining knowledge and further building skills as a professional
