About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Member Advocates are the primary source of information for members, pharmacies, and physicians via phone, email, and chat.
- Provide information and resolve member, pharmacy, and physician inquiries.
- Research and resolve claim processing and eligibility issues.
- Serve as an intermediary between healthcare organizations and members in facilitating patient care.
- Compile and record information and correspondence related to member needs or requirements.
- Document engagement outcomes and steps taken with clarity and concision.
- Think quickly on one’s feet while navigating multiple systems to effectively engage with members.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other departments to resolve issues and improve the member, physician, and pharmacy experience.
- Effectively work through difficult conversations with members while maintaining composure, showing empathy, and displaying active listening skills.
Requirements
What you’ll need- An active CPhT (Pharmacy Tech Certification) is highly encouraged but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to obtain certification as a pharmacy technician within one year of hire.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including rotating Saturdays and evening shifts.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Spanish speaking abilities are highly valued for this role.
