Director, Regional Field Sales – Acute Care
Medline Industries, LPDirector overseeing sales activities and pricing policies for healthcare sales team at Medline Canada. Responsible for achieving sales objectives, training, and relationship management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overseeing and evaluating the sales activities and pricing policies of the team of Account Managers within their region.
- Executes the region’s sales strategy and manages selling activities.
- Responsible for achievement of quarterly and annual territory sales objectives.
- Sets sales direction with vision and passion to inspire and exceed objectives.
- Ensure effective and efficient progression of medical professionals through the training process.
- Ensure prompt response to requests for additional clinical support.
- Ensure that sales team maintains required skills, relationships and certifications.
- Share feedback from customers and the sales team with leadership.
- Visit potential customers in region to build relationships and promote products.
- Maximize account volume, mix and ‘Willingness to Recommend’.
- Ensure deployment efficiency and effectiveness of a sales team.
- Responsible for timely field team talent recruitment, training and onboarding.
- Manages performance and development of team personnel by identifying strengths and opportunities.
- Establishes challenging goals and exhibits a leadership style consistent with compliance in a changing environment.
- Works with Sales Administration to ensure order processing and sales incentive plans are executed and communicated appropriately.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Three or more years of Healthcare sales team management experience.
- Three or more years of direct medical device sales and support management experience.
- Experience and knowledge with/in sales management and training.
- Broad knowledge of the Medical Device Industry.
- Able to guide customers through the learning curve of a novel product/procedure for both routine and complex cases.
- Lead and function effectively in a high performance team.
- Manage and prioritize workload, multi-task and manage a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities and challenges.
- Confidence in product knowledge, yet deferential to clinical judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- High degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated Business acumen – an understanding of market dynamics, key business drivers, marketing plans and able to execute strategic directives in a compliant manner.
- Capable of using IT automation, applications and mobile devices.
