Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze inventory and category-related products
- Develop, manage, and evaluate purchasing and inventory performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and leverage data to drive continuous improvement in support of company management and strategy
- Prepare purchasing reports and analyze supplier information to identify opportunities for improvement
- Use the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to analyze stock movements, turnover, and costs
- Place purchase orders upon receipt of suggestions from the MRP system
- Establish KPIs to measure success based on service level, inventory turnover, and shrinkage
- Build and manage supplier relationships while overseeing supplier performance; conduct routine reviews of supplier activities
- Negotiate competitive pricing, discounts, and contracts while maintaining the highest quality and service standards, balancing cost control and mitigating supplier-related risks
- Work with suppliers to ensure product availability, delivery schedules, and resolve any potential supplier shortages
- Ensure all orders are delivered according to purchase order specifications and are released for sale in line with the MRP schedule.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- One (1) year of administrative experience
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an asset
- Experience working with an ERP system (Syspro an asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel) required
- Strong listening skills, customer-oriented approach, and professionalism
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, adhere to ethical practices, and make decisions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
