About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support safe, effective, and compliant care delivery across approximately 60 GP clinics
  • Act as a trusted advisor, partnering with clinical leaders to strengthen governance frameworks, manage clinical risk, and drive continuous improvement across primary and virtual care environments
  • Lead end-to-end management of clinical incidents, complaints, and adverse events across medical services
  • Support investigations, risk escalations, and root cause analysis
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives within primary care and virtual care services
  • Contribute to clinical audits, RACGP accreditation, and credentialing processes (including medical services)
  • Deliver and support clinical governance education for multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned to primary care and medical service standards
  • Analyse clinical data and deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Partner with operational and clinical leaders to implement quality and patient safety initiatives
  • Monitor clinical KPIs and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registration as a nurse or allied health professional
  • Proven experience in clinical governance, quality, or patient safety roles
  • Background in a GP, primary care, or broader medical service setting
  • Experience with incident management, investigations, audits, or accreditation
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence clinicians and stakeholders
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work autonomously in a part-time capacity
