About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administration, maintenance and optimization of MS SQL databases (on-premises and Azure)
- Support for smaller customer projects in the areas of database optimization and cloud migration
- Assisting with migrations and cloud integrations (Azure SQL) under technical guidance
- Ensuring the availability, performance and security of database environments
- Performing and documenting backup and recovery processes
- Collaborating with the Application Operations team for error analysis and resolution
- Actively contributing to process documentation and the development of best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of hands-on experience administering MS SQL Servers
- Basic understanding of customer interaction and a service-oriented mindset
- Good knowledge of MS Active Directory, Azure SQL and hybrid environments
- Practical experience with PowerShell and T-SQL
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (SQL Profiler, Azure Monitor)
- Understanding of IT security policies and access management
- Some experience in technical customer consulting
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Basic knowledge of networking technologies
- Analytical thinking skills
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Self-reliant and reliable
- Willingness to learn and openness to new technologies and database systems

- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
