About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, planning and further development of our certified, highly available cloud and data center infrastructures (CompanyCloud)
Selection, architecture and integration of modern virtualization, network and storage solutions
Further development and operation of our CompanyCloud network stack based on modern technologies, with a focus on VMware NSX and VXLAN, as well as vendors Arista, Fortinet and Dell
Development and implementation of security and Identity & Access Management concepts
Design of backup & disaster-recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Dell Data Domain)
Supportive management of routing and ISP policies (OSPF, BGP), as well as LIR management and the operation of our Autonomous System
Supportive integration and optimization of monitoring and proactive monitoring systems (checkMK, PRTG)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience in operating and developing complex cloud, network and IT infrastructures, preferably in a service provider environment
Solid knowledge in virtualization (VMware vSphere, NSX) or comparable hypervisors and enterprise network architectures
Experience in administering enterprise security stacks and implementing security solutions
Good knowledge of backup, recovery and storage solutions (Veeam, Dell EMC)
Knowledge of network protocols (OSPF, BGP) and IP resource management (RIPE)
Basic knowledge of datacenter certifications (BSI C5, ISO27001, ISO27017 and ISO27018)
Strong analytical skills, initiative and a team-oriented mindset
Business-fluent German and English skills
