About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain API endpoints, service enhancements, and bug fixes.
Support data transformation, validation, and integration tasks across backend services.
Assist with FHIR-related development, including payload handling, resource mappings, and testing.
Contribute to the development of reusable service interfaces that enable downstream AI and automation use cases.
Write unit tests, documentation, and operational runbooks as needed.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers to learn platform patterns, coding standards, and domain-specific requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of backend engineering experience.
Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, API design, and relational databases.
Experience with at least one modern backend programming language and common development tools.
Willingness to learn FHIR healthcare interoperability concepts and MCP-related implementation patterns.
Basic familiarity with cloud deployment concepts; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
