About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Align to provide open and candid communication and cross-discipline care within the department
- See Medcan clients by appointment in-clinic
- Work with other sport medicine specialists to create individualized patient care plans
- Care for recreational and weekend warrior athletes, competitive athletes, as well as general MSK concerns
- Administer ultrasound guided interventional therapies, including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy as clinically indicated
- Continuously look to innovate care practices using the best evidence medical care within a collaborative care business model
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Medicine (MD)
- CCFP Designation
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Currently licensed to practice in Ontario
- Completed the Sports Medicine Diploma through CASEM or similar organization strongly preferred
- Outstanding communication skills and excellent bedside manner
- Experience working with competitive athletes is an asset
- Experience and training in ultrasound guided injection therapies required
