About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the primary resource for your team members in determining direction and procedures for complex claims by providing information, answering questions and requests.
- Communicate with different stakeholders in order to effectively manage relationships.
- Contribute to department strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identify and evaluate trends and opportunities and define objectives and evaluate outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong analysis and resolve quality and client service problems and identify trends while seeking out operational efficiencies.
- Build a stable team through recruiting qualified talent, training employees and providing guidance in career development.
- Contribute to the organization’s effectiveness by offering information and opinions at Team Leader meetings and building and maintaining inter- and intradepartmental relationships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education in business, medical or rehabilitation management.
- Two years or more of people management combined with two to three years of direct work experience in Life and Disability insurance.
- Insurance designation (LOMA or other) will be considered an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required.
- English proficiency is required to perform the duties of the role, which include daily collaboration with teams and partners outside Québec who operate primarily in English.
