About the role

  • Support the Group Underwriting leadership team by aligning processes and tools
  • Lead and implement best practice initiatives within the Underwriting team
  • Design and facilitate a training curriculum to support underwriters
  • Conduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases
  • Release the monthly Underwriting Bulletin when the Best Practice Analyst is unavailable
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for underwriting tools
  • Act as a liaison with internal partners and lead mini projects

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive Group Underwriting experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer needs and underwriting processes
  • Strong underwriting and business acumen
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English) considered as a strong asset
