About the role
- Support the Group Underwriting leadership team by aligning processes and tools
- Lead and implement best practice initiatives within the Underwriting team
- Design and facilitate a training curriculum to support underwriters
- Conduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases
- Release the monthly Underwriting Bulletin when the Best Practice Analyst is unavailable
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for underwriting tools
- Act as a liaison with internal partners and lead mini projects
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Group Underwriting experience
- Demonstrated understanding of customer needs and underwriting processes
- Strong underwriting and business acumen
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French and English) considered as a strong asset
