About the role

  • Responsible for assessing and visualizing the bank’s data
  • Responding to requests for data and reports
  • Ensuring reliable and accurate business intelligence offerings
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level semantic data models using best practices
  • Develop complex DAX measures and calculated columns to support key lending metrics
  • Build and maintain Power BI dataflows and self-service data models
  • Partner with business stakeholders across departments to translate analytical needs
  • Serve as a trusted analytical resource as new products are evaluated
  • Publish, manage, and govern datasets, dashboards, and reports within Power BI
  • Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams
  • Establish and maintain documentation for data models and reporting standards
  • Continuously evaluate and implement enhancements to reporting capabilities
  • Write and interpret SQL queries to extract and validate data
  • Conduct trend analysis, cohort comparisons, and portfolio diagnostics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, statistics, mathematics, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in analytical roles focused on Power BI
  • Experience with DAX and M Query
  • Experience with creating and manipulating relational datasets
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics friendly data structures
  • Expertise in building enterprise scale dashboards and reports
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including complex joins, window functions, and performance optimization
  • Prior banking/finance experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Python or R
