General

• Support the Director in strengthening MEDA’s organization-wide impact measurement systems and frameworks
• Develop and manage the organization’s measurement framework with key metrics in alignment with MEDA’s strategic plan and priorities
• Coordinate integration and streamlining of MEDA databases (e.g., CRM, project systems, Power BI dashboards) to ensure consistency and efficiency in organizational reporting
• Ensure availability of clean, validated, and harmonized datasets across regions and departments
• Identify gaps in data systems and contribute to system improvements and upgrades
• Support data governance, standardization, and metadata practices across MEDA
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of quarterly organizational performance reports and annual results summaries
• Manage and update the organization’s Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in collaboration with leadership and functional teams
• Ensure reporting aligns with MEDA’s strategy, KPIs, and donor requirements
• Develop dashboards and visualization tools to communicate performance insights clearly
• Ensure data is translated into actionable insights for senior leadership and Board reporting
• Work alongside Technical Leads and project teams to develop high-quality research and knowledge products (case studies, learning briefs, synthesis reports, sector analyses)
• Synthesize data and evidence to articulate MEDA’s contributions to agri-food systems, inclusive market systems, and community-level impact
• Coordinate summative and ex-post evaluations for selected projects
• Support development of thought leadership content aligned with MEDA’s strategic priorities
• Ensure systematic capture of lessons learned and best practices across programs
• Contribute to strengthening MEDA’s organizational evidence base and Theory of Change
• Collaborate closely with Regional IKM leads, Technical Leads, IT, and Communications to ensure alignment of data, reporting, and knowledge outputs
• Provide technical guidance and backstopping to project teams on data, reporting, and learning processes
• Support quality assurance of data collection, analysis, and reporting outputs
• Contribute to building staff capacity in data use, reporting standards, and knowledge management practices
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and learning across the organization
• Contribute to strategic initiatives led by the Director, IKM
• Support coordination with external consultants where required (e.g., evaluations, research)

Impact & Knowledge Management Specialist

Auditor

• Establish and maintain a risk-based internal audit framework aligned with leading practices, including an audit charter, policies and procedures, reporting formats and governance cadence.
• Develop and present the annual internal audit plan for approval by FAR committee.
• Define audit methodologies, tools, and reporting standards appropriate to MEDA’s operating model.
• Build a fit-for-purpose audit function, leveraging external expertise where required.
• Monitor compliance with donor, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Assess adherence to internal policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
• Support strengthening of control awareness across global teams through targeted guidance and training.
• Leverage data analytics and AI tools to enhance audit effectiveness for risk identification and anomaly detection, transaction testing and pattern analysis and continuous auditing approaches.
• Promote practical adoption of technology-enabled audit techniques appropriate to MEDA’s scale.
• Ensure responsible and controlled use of data and AI with audit processes.
• Lead and execute audits across MEDA’s full risk landscape including; Global program operations and country-level execution including grant and donor compliance (e.g., GAC, Mastercard Foundation and other funders).
• Investment management and fund governance (including structures, controls, and investment decision-making processes).
• Procurement, contracting, and vendor management controls.
• Fraud risk, safeguarding, and whistleblower response frameworks.
• Cybersecurity, data governance, and information management controls.
• Regional, partner, and project office controls across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and ensure delivery of clear, actionable audit findings.
• Report independently to the FAR committee on audit results, key risks, and control deficiencies.
• Escalate material issues directly to FAR without management filtering.
• Establish and maintain audit dashboards and tracking systems for monitoring remediation.
• Strengthen governance practices across MEDA through disciplined, transparent reporting.
• Conduct or provide support for enterprise risk assessments and identify emerging risks.
• Provide advisory input on control design and risk mitigation, while maintaining independence.
• Provide support for special investigations, including fraud or whistle-blower related matters.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on governance, risk and control matters.

Internal Auditor

Communications

• Designing and managing MEDA’s internal communications "operating system".
• Ensuring staff across all regions and functions are aligned, informed, and engaged with the New Horizons 2030 strategy.
• Translating strategy into clear narratives that strengthen culture, alignment and organizational performance.
• Occasional international travel required.
• Own and optimize MEDA’s internal communication channels including Monday MEDA Meetings, Town Halls, MEDABytes, and various SharePoint hubs and leadership updates.
• Write organization-wide posts to inform and align staff.
• Establish and maintain a consistent communication cadence to improve clarity across the organization.
• Design feedback loops to support two-way communication and ensure internal alignment.
