About the role
- Promote safe and nurturing relationships between young children and their caregiver
- Implement strategies that prevent adverse childhood experiences and promote well-being
- Operate within Local, State and Federal Regulations as well as adhere to all MECA policies and procedures
- Identify pregnant women and families who may benefit from home visiting services
- Determine the child and family’s eligibility utilizing standardized selection and admission criteria
- Develop a transition plan with families
- Develop positive outcomes and goals based on screenings, assessments and selected curricula that are focused on strengthening the parent/caregiver-child relationship
- Conduct scheduled visits with family based on the needs identified in the family plan
- Build relationships, establishing goals and supporting wellness across multiple domains for infants, young children and their primary caregivers and families
- Conduct screenings for health, safety and development
- Identify community resources and referral support
- Conduct family satisfaction surveys annually and at exit
Requirements
- At minimum, a four-year Bachelor’s level degree
- Infant Mental Health Certification within 2 years of hire
