About the role
- Collaborate with leaders to identify talent needs and align workforce planning with business goals, ensuring the organization is future-ready.
- Advise leaders on employee issues, performance management, and engagement strategies to foster a productive and inclusive workplace.
- Support career development, succession planning, and performance optimization initiatives that empower employees and strengthen leadership pipelines.
- Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and ensure smooth implementation of new processes and initiatives.
- Leverage HR metrics and trends to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure business units operate in alignment with P&C policies, employment law, and organizational values.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex employee relations, performance, or organizational issues.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of direct experience in HR or People & Culture, including business partnering and employee relations.
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Social Psychology. CHRP/CHRL or CPHR is a nice to have.
- Knowledge of Ontario Employment Law & Compliance, including ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, and labour relations basics.
- Experience with workforce planning, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Familiarity with HR metrics, dashboards, and analytics for making data-informed decisions.
- Proficiency with tools like HRIS, ATS, performance management platforms, and engagement tools.
