About the role

  • Collaborate with leaders to identify talent needs and align workforce planning with business goals, ensuring the organization is future-ready.
  • Advise leaders on employee issues, performance management, and engagement strategies to foster a productive and inclusive workplace.
  • Support career development, succession planning, and performance optimization initiatives that empower employees and strengthen leadership pipelines.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and ensure smooth implementation of new processes and initiatives.
  • Leverage HR metrics and trends to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure business units operate in alignment with P&C policies, employment law, and organizational values.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex employee relations, performance, or organizational issues.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of direct experience in HR or People & Culture, including business partnering and employee relations.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Social Psychology. CHRP/CHRL or CPHR is a nice to have.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Employment Law & Compliance, including ESA, Human Rights Code, OHSA, and labour relations basics.
  • Experience with workforce planning, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Familiarity with HR metrics, dashboards, and analytics for making data-informed decisions.
  • Proficiency with tools like HRIS, ATS, performance management platforms, and engagement tools.
