Lead the Talent Acquisition function and Global TA team.
Work closely with the VP, People & Culture on workforce planning, salary bands, and talent acquisition strategy.
Lead a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists in multiple locations.
Mentor and train team members on best practices and requisition load distribution.
Monitor TA processes, implement improvements, and optimize internal systems.
Own strategic oversight of talent acquisition projects and recruitment marketing initiatives.
Provide weekly reports to leadership on hiring progress and address roadblocks.
Conduct full-cycle recruitment for senior, technical, and niche requisitions in Canada and the USA.
Collaborate with hiring leaders to define hiring requirements and assist in creating job postings.
Assess candidate character and competence fit for roles.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a direct talent acquisition role with at least 1-2 years in a people leadership capacity.
Knowledge of employment standard practices that impact talent acquisition and offers of employment in the US and Canada.
Workforce structure and planning for a start-up/scale up SaaS tech company and the types of roles that exist.
Implementing process improvements and developing internal tools to support scalable growth in fast-paced environments.
Best practices and modern approaches to posting, sourcing, interviewing, and offering that create an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.
Sourcing and pipelining skills with a proven ability to effectively source qualified individuals through tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or other relevant sites across North America.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, getting bonus points for having used Workable.
Ability to keep the recruitment process moving efficiently and confidently.
Willingness to occasionally travel and have a valid passport with no travel restrictions that limit crossing the border between Canada and the USA.
