About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • **What You’ll Be Doing**
  • Managing a varied caseload of domestic and commercial subsidence claims, ensuring all service level agreements are consistently met.
  • **Assessing, validating, settling or declining claims within your delegated authority, always applying sound technical reasoning and insurance liability principles.**
  • **Diagnosing structural defects and the causes of damage using information gathered by surveyors, suppliers and other specialists**

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • **A recognised professional building qualification (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStructE, MCABE) or active progression toward one. Relevant experience will also be considered.**
  • **Strong technical knowledge of structural defects and subsidence‑related issues.**
  • **The ability to diagnose building damage remotely using supplied evidence.**
  • **Experience within the insurance industry and a solid understanding of liability considerations.**
  • **Confident negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain agreement from multiple stakeholders.**
  • **A problem‑solving mindset, able to evaluate complex information and make sound decisions.**
  • **Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.**
  • **Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise effectively.**
  • **High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.**
  • **A flexible, self‑motivated approach and the ability to work independently.**
