Key responsibilities & impact

**What You’ll Be Doing**
Managing a varied caseload of domestic and commercial subsidence claims, ensuring all service level agreements are consistently met.
**Assessing, validating, settling or declining claims within your delegated authority, always applying sound technical reasoning and insurance liability principles.**
**Diagnosing structural defects and the causes of damage using information gathered by surveyors, suppliers and other specialists**

Requirements

What you’ll need

**A recognised professional building qualification (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStructE, MCABE) or active progression toward one. Relevant experience will also be considered.**
**Strong technical knowledge of structural defects and subsidence‑related issues.**
**The ability to diagnose building damage remotely using supplied evidence.**
**Experience within the insurance industry and a solid understanding of liability considerations.**
**Confident negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain agreement from multiple stakeholders.**
**A problem‑solving mindset, able to evaluate complex information and make sound decisions.**
**Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.**
**Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise effectively.**
**High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.**
**A flexible, self‑motivated approach and the ability to work independently.**
