Operationalize data observability, monitoring, and governance across our Snowflake and AWS-based platform
Shape governance frameworks, implement enterprise observability, and ensure data quality at scale
Translate the data observability/governance strategy into executable roadmaps and quarterly plans; maintain backlogs and delivery timelines
Act as a trusted partner to Product, CX, and Engineering on data quality, stewardship, and compliance topics
Promote a culture of accountability via clear SLAs/SLOs, runbooks, and regular health reporting
Implement and operate real-time monitors, anomaly detection, lineage tracking, and automated alerting within core pipelines
Define, track, and report SLAs/SLOs/KPIs for data reliability, coordinate incident response and postmortems
Work with Data Engineering to embed tests and quality checks in CI/CD and production jobs
Execute MDaudit’s data governance framework (ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, and quality rules)
Partner with Security/Compliance to align with HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST; maintain evidence and audit readiness
Administer data cataloging, classification, access reviews, and retention controls across domains
Configure and manage observability/governance platforms (e.g., Monte Carlo/Bigeye; Collibra/Alation or similar)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
7–10 years in data engineering/analytics/data management, including 2–3 years leading teams or programs
Proven expertise with at least 5 years of experience in data observability and governance frameworks (e.g., Monte Carlo, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Bigeye, etc.)
Strong technical background with at least 5 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Databricks
Deep understanding of healthcare data (claims, EMR/EHR, billing, compliance) is strongly preferred
Track record of successfully building and scaling enterprise-wide governance programs that enable trust in data
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks including HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST.
