About the role
- Under the direction of the Manufacturing Technologies Manager, this position will be responsible for assisting in process improvements, equipment design, and project management associated with the various manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the evaluation of manufacturing processes including product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials and develop and implement improvements.
- Studying product requirements, inspecting equipment, processes, operations, assembly, testing manufacturing methods utilized.
- Develop maintenance procedures for repair services by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, requesting special service.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to justify machine improvements, process changes and/or capital investments.
- Create and maintain drawings in both CAD and Inventor formats.
- Provide manufacturing engineering information.
- Comply with all applicable government regulations.
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Applied Engineering.
- Candidate needs to be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong mechanical aptitudes a plus.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills with the ability to communicate to broad audiences.
- Knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvements methodologies, a plus. (FMEA, Root Cause, 5S, Six Sigma, and Process Flow Analysis)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include, Outlook, Excel, and Word, Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software.
