About the role
- Lead the Compliance Department for the firm and ensure business is conducting its business in full compliance with all federal laws and client regulations.
- Create, review and implement policies and procedures and best practices within the industry.
- Apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments.
- Review and input into the development of relevant policies and procedures.
- Assess business future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
- Day-to-day management of the compliance system.
- Review regulatory change after implementation.
- Conduct internal reviews and audits.
- Advise internal management and business partners on implementation of compliance programs.
- Review marketing materials for compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide advice and leadership on compliance issues and follow up on issues requiring investigation.
- Evaluate compliance systems and ensure adequate processes and procedures are in place.
- Report on compliance and closely collaborate with HR to monitor enforcement of compliance regulations.
- Train cross functional teams on compliance requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in a legal or default services setting.
- Strong understanding of client compliance requirements and processes.
- Preferably familiar with client and case management systems including Case Aware, Black Knight, and Tempo.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
- Demonstrates a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capable of effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must pass a background check and be able to provide two professional references.
