About the role

  • Responsible for the review of title documents
  • Handle title curative issues
  • Communicate with clients regarding title issues and curative process and updates
  • Independently review title examination documents for previously raised title issues
  • Search and review public records to cure title issues
  • Prepare summation of title issue and best avenue to cure
  • Request fees for curative measures taken
  • File title claims and work with title insurers and/or outside counsel
  • Assist in curative title actions as necessary
  • Understand the impact the title issue has on foreclosure process in each state
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with clients through their preferred system of record.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Title Attorney
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation
  • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
  • Extensive computer and database expertise
  • License to practice law and in good standing in one or more of MTG legal footprint states
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
