About the role
- Prepare and review motions for relief from stay for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13s
- Objections to Chapter 13 plans
- Chapter 11 experience and adversary matters experience a plus
- Responses to motions to value
- Oppositions to objections to claim
- Review and interpret all documents (legal & otherwise) deed of trusts, notes, assignments, property title, dockets, pleadings, etc.
- Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors, and debtors' attorneys
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of bankruptcy experience representing creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters
- Admitted to practice and in good standing in North Carolina and all federal bankruptcy courts
- Admitted to practice in other states a plus
- Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research
- Must be able to proficiently handle appearances, all aspects of creditor representation with minimal or no supervision
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
- Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize high volume workload
