About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide ongoing support for Workday Payroll across business units
Gather requirements, support testing, and implement system enhancements and automation tools
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and user experience
Independently manage assigned tasks and projects
Develop and maintain desktop procedures and standard operating procedures
Translate business requirements into system configurations and functional specifications
Maintain payroll elements including earnings, deductions, and tax settings
Collaborate with Payroll Operations, HRIS, Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams
Communicate system updates and mitigate risks
Support system updates through test execution, documentation, and validation of payroll outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HRIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of payroll experience
2 years supporting Workday Payroll and HCM preferred
Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, testing, and reporting
Knowledge of payroll lifecycle and integrated systems such as Workday Time Tracking, ADP, and WFM
Understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
Experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations
Experience supporting multi-state or cross-border payroll preferred
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future
