About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide ongoing support for Workday Payroll across business units
- Gather requirements, support testing, and implement system enhancements and automation tools
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and user experience
- Independently manage assigned tasks and projects
- Develop and maintain desktop procedures and standard operating procedures
- Translate business requirements into system configurations and functional specifications
- Maintain payroll elements including earnings, deductions, and tax settings
- Collaborate with Payroll Operations, HRIS, Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams
- Communicate system updates and mitigate risks
- Support system updates through test execution, documentation, and validation of payroll outputs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HRIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of payroll experience
- 2 years supporting Workday Payroll and HCM preferred
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, testing, and reporting
- Knowledge of payroll lifecycle and integrated systems such as Workday Time Tracking, ADP, and WFM
- Understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations
- Experience supporting multi-state or cross-border payroll preferred
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship now or in the future
