About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze healthcare data from EHRs, payer systems, and HL7 v2 feeds and map to FHIR R4 resources and profiles
Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of FHIR-based data mappings from HL7 v2, CCDA, X12, and proprietary formats
Create and maintain FHIR source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and conformance documentation
Apply HL7 Da Vinci Implementation Guides (PAS, CRD, DTR) to support prior authorization and coverage workflows
Perform terminology mapping using standard code systems (SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10)
Identify and resolve complex data quality, mapping, and performance issues across integrations
Validate FHIR payloads using conformance and testing tools and support integration and UAT testing
Provide technical guidance and mentorship on FHIR standards, best practices, and implementation approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics or a related field, or equivalent
Typically requires 7+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, integration, and mapping
Hands-on expertise with HL7 FHIR R4, including resources, profiles, bundles, and extensions
Experience mapping from HL7 v2, CCDA, X12, and/or proprietary EMR formats to FHIR
Working knowledge of Clinical Quality Language (CQL), including use within Da Vinci DTR workflows
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
