Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership and oversight for core month-end close activities
Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures across all supported practices
Establish and maintain standardized close calendars and documentation standards
Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting matters
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting directors, managers, and senior accounting professionals
Drive standardization of recurring manual journal entries and reconciliations
Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls in alignment with SOX requirements
Communicate accounting risks and trends to senior finance leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

13+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of operational accounting teams
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Experience supporting complex, multi-entity environments
Experience in healthcare, shared services, or large enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and account reconciliation tools (e.g., BlackLine)
CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
