About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides strategic sourcing and category management leadership for Transportation, Logistics, and Packaging categories
- Leads development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies
- Partners closely with business unit and functional leaders to identify opportunities
- Aligns cross-functional stakeholders on strategy, trade-offs, and outcomes
- Acts as a liaison between suppliers and McKesson BUs to lead periodic business review meetings
- Drives forecasting excellence through continuous sourcing pipeline
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or equivalent experience
- Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience
- 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience
- 8+ years of corporate business experience preferred
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing and category management expertise preferred
- 3+ years of experience in transportation preferred
- 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
- Experience working across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
- Demonstrated executive presence
