About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and support PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server in Azure and on-prem environments
Support database migrations from on‑prem to Azure, including validation, performance tuning, and post‑migration stabilization
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and reliability issues using native tools and Datadog
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and high availability solutions
Use and help extend Liquibase for database schema and change management in CI/CD pipelines
Contribute to database provisioning and configuration through Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
Collaborate with application and platform teams supporting Kubernetes‑based workloads
Automate routine operational tasks using scripting where appropriate
Follow and contribute to database security, compliance, and documentation standards
Participate in an on‑call rotation for production database support

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
Strong (5-7 Years) hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
7+ Years experience operating databases in Azure, AWS or GCP
Working knowledge of Liquibase, Terraform, or similar tooling
Familiarity with Kubernetes environments
Experience (5-7 Years) with monitoring/observability tools such as Datadog
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
