About the role
- Define and lead strategic direction for MSP and BPO categories
- Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation
- Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, supplier capabilities, and pricing benchmarks
- Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, service levels, and performance metrics
- Continuously challenge the status quo and drive process optimization and improvement initiatives
- Create and apply innovative solutions to complex business challenges
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and align sourcing strategies to business needs
- Work closely with Technology Vendor Management Organization to drive sourcing excellence and supplier innovation
- Influence change and drive adoption of best practices and enterprise-first sourcing approaches
- Leverage internal and external data and analytics to inform and optimize sourcing strategies
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks
- Provide a monthly forecast of projected savings and establish KPIs to measure sourcing success
- Oversee end-to-end SOW creation, submission, and lifecycle management within Fieldglass, ensuring compliance and timely approvals
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent
- Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience in category management, procurement, or strategic sourcing
- Minimum of 3 years in Technology Services MSP and/or BPO
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa)
- Strong understanding of market analysis and supplier evaluation techniques
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- High level of business acumen and financial literacy
- SOW Management experience in Fieldglass (oversee SOW lifecycle), if applicable
- Experience driving cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and sourcing strategies
