About the role
- Provide technical accounting support to the CoverMyMeds Business Unit
- Advise Sales, Legal and the Business on structuring customer, vendor and partnership arrangements during contract negotiation
- Communicate complex accounting/finance topics to stakeholders verbally, in writing and in presentations
- Provide guidance and education to stakeholders on accounting policies and processes
- Collaborate with Business Unit, Finance, Legal and Sales to drive value-add results and processes
- Research accounting issues, conclude impacts, and communicate results to relevant stakeholders
- Develop reporting for Business Unit contractual arrangements incorporating relevant metrics and drivers
- Ensure accounting treatment for all Business Unit arrangements are concluded accurately and timely within close timelines
- Manage and participate in process improvement initiatives related to contract consultation
- Prepare presentations, memos and communications translating accounting concepts for non-accountants
- Lead and manage special ad-hoc projects with limited to moderate supervision; manage multiple deliverables concurrently
Requirements
- 6+ years accounting experience including 2+ years managerial experience
- CPA required
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- Proficient in US GAAP, internal policies, and other applicable accounting standards primarily related to technology arrangements
- Ability to research accounting issues and successfully conclude
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to various audiences
- Ability to drive special projects, collaborate and partner with various teams
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently
- Public accounting firm experience preferred
- Technology accounting experience strongly preferred (e.g., software and related technology accounting literature)
- SEC financial reporting experience preferred
- Accounting policy including new accounting standard adoption experience preferred
