About the role
- Lead and manage a team of field-based reimbursement specialists responsible for in-office reimbursement and patient support services
- Hire, develop, coach, evaluate, culture-build and lead the reimbursement team
- Manage day-to-day program operations including staffing, profitability, standard operating procedures, process design, implementation and improvements
- Monitor client SLA agreements and ensure compliance, making staffing and process changes if SLA is not met
- Supervise a nation-wide team of remote-based direct reports, monitor activity and performance development, and conduct extensive travel for in-person training and ride-a-longs
- Regularly interact with Client’s Head of Reimbursement Operations and act as liaison within McKesson to Client Services, Information Systems, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and Training
- Establish and lead regular communications including weekly 1:1s, weekly team meetings, monthly check-ins, quarterly performance surveys, monthly QA audits, and weekly meetings with client and operations team
- Disseminate client direction across remote team and lead regular teleconferences and quarterly ride-a-longs for ongoing training
- Provide Field Operations efficiencies and execute Field Operation projects assigned
- Partner with Sr. Manager to establish and produce client reports monthly and quarterly
- Manage client expectations and provide consultative services on process improvement, revenue generating and cost saving opportunities
- Assist in preparation of and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for the client
- Responsible for FRM development, establishing development opportunities and providing ongoing training (payer education, conferences, mentorships, billing and coding, My Learning courses)
Requirements
- 6+ years of reimbursement experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting a Field Reimbursement Team preferred
- Experience managing a field-based team, with management of a field-based reimbursement team strongly preferred
- Proven account management/client management experience, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare related industry
- Proven experience in direct communication with pharmaceutical clients or stakeholders
- Detailed understanding and experience with process documentation and improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must reside in West Region: AZ, CA, TX, OR, WA, CO
- Must be able to travel 60-80% (3-4 days a week) via automobile or plane
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record/ MVR
- Must adhere to privacy and compliance obligations
