About the role
- Provide technical accounting support to the CoverMyMeds Business Unit
- Advise Sales, Legal and the Business regarding the structuring of customer, vendor or partnership arrangements during the contract negotiation process
- Communicate complex accounting/finance topics to stakeholders effectively
- Provide guidance and education to stakeholders on accounting policies and processes
- Collaborate among teams and develop partnerships with Business Unit, Finance, Legal and Sales
- Research accounting issues and communicate impacts to stakeholders
- Provide contract consultation for technology contractual arrangements and ensure accurate accounting treatment within close timelines
- Develop reporting for Business Unit contractual arrangements and incorporate relevant metrics
- Manage and participate in process improvement initiatives related to contract consultation
- Prepare and deliver presentations, memos and email communications
- Create effective working relationships with Business Unit, Finance, Legal and Sales teams
- Manage ad-hoc projects with limited to moderate supervision
- Excellent time management to execute on multiple deliverables concurrently
Requirements
- 6+ years accounting experience including 2+ years managerial experience
- Ability to research accounting issues and successfully conclude
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to various audiences
- Ability to drive special projects, collaborate and partner with various teams
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently
- Public accounting firm experience preferred
- Technology accounting experience strongly preferred
- SEC financial reporting experience preferred
- Accounting policy including new accounting standard adoption experience preferred
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
