About the role
- Establish and uphold rigorous data governance practices for SCRI’s oncology research operations
- Ensure data assets are well-defined, high-quality, trusted, and compliant
- Implement and maintain SCRI-aligned data governance policies, standards, and controls
- Communicate governance priorities, risks, and performance metrics to leadership
- Promote use of standardized definitions, reference data, and sound data practices
- Document end-to-end lineage of data assets, including source-to-target flows and transformations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Organizational Management, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Steward or Business Systems Analyst, preferably in healthcare industry
- Deep knowledge of data governance, stewardship, metadata management, and data quality practices
- Strong understanding of healthcare and oncology data
- Experience in data governance, data stewardship, data quality, or data management disciplines
- Experience with regulatory environments (HIPAA/PHI/PII, SOX)
