About the role
- Lead the strategy and maintenance of HR data governance, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and Audit teams to oversee audit processes, data quality, documentation, and the HR Data Governance Council.
- Drive improvements in data management, ensuring audit readiness, and integrating data governance throughout the organization.
- Champion data stewardship and governance best practices across HR and partner functions.
- Oversee the resolution of complex data quality issues, including root cause analysis and systemic remediation.
- Maintain and evolve documentation including data standards, security profiles, field dictionaries, and metrics guides.
- Manage the HR data catalog, ensuring accurate tagging, classification, and lifecycle tracking.
- Conduct regular quality assessments and partner with data owners to maintain data integrity.
- Lead a team of four, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
Requirements
- Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
- Deep understanding of HR data & fields
- In-depth understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and driving resolution of complex data-related issues.
- Proficiency in data analysis and quality assessment techniques.
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and data management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with auditors and ensuring compliance with data-related regulations and policies.
