About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Make outbound calls to prospective customers
- Upsell existing products and services
- Handle inbound and outbound customer contacts courteously, promptly, and professionally
- Answer customer questions and sell appropriate products and services using knowledge base and training
- Listen to customers, understand their needs, and resolve issues
- Research systems for missing information and coordinate with other departments
- Complete account-management tasks using company systems and technology
- Document and process customer orders accurately
- Follow required scripts, policies, and procedures
- Protect confidential and personal information
- Escalate customer issues to appropriate staff and managers
- Attend meetings and training and review updated training materials
- Maintain current knowledge of programs, systems, and process changes
- Adhere to attendance and work-schedule requirements
- Interact with hundreds of customers each week across the country while delivering a best-in-class customer experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to type swiftly and accurately at 20+ words per minute
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of Windows operating system
- Reliable with regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
- Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation
- Customer-service orientation
- Ability to multitask, stay focused, and self-manage
- Strong team orientation and customer focus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with change and ambiguity
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit to a Level II background and/or security investigation with fingerprinting
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening
- Preferred but not required: one year of experience in customer service, technical support, inside sales, back-office, chat, or administrative support in a contact center environment
- Preferred but not required: state or federal work experience
